Infominang – Seorang anak berusia 6 tahun, yang diketahui bernama F, warga Jalan M. Yamin, Padang, dilaporkan hanyut terseret ombak saat berenang di pantai dekat Gedung Kebudayaan Sumatera Barat, Jalan Samudera, Kelurahan Belakang Tangsi, Padang Barat, pada Senin (16/9) sekitar pukul 18.00 WIB.
Korban saat itu sedang mandi bersama lima orang temannya. Namun, naas bagi F, ia terseret arus ombak yang cukup besar. Empat orang temannya berhasil selamat, namun F belum ditemukan hingga berita ini diturunkan. Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Kota Padang, Hendri Zulviton, menyampaikan bahwa upaya pencarian terus dilakukan oleh tim gabungan hingga malam hari.
“Saat kejadian, arus ombak cukup kuat sehingga korban terseret. Rekan-rekan korban berhasil menyelamatkan diri, sementara korban masih dalam pencarian,” ujar Hendri Zulviton.
Dalam upaya penyelamatan, salah satu warga yang ikut membantu pencarian mengalami pingsan dan langsung dilarikan ke rumah sakit terdekat.
Hingga saat ini, petugas gabungan dari BPBD, SAR, dan berbagai elemen masyarakat terus melakukan pencarian korban di sekitar lokasi kejadian.
